The world of Fantasy Football is growing every day. Last year it consumed the lives of approximately 30 million people. It started as just a hobby, but became an obsession for many. Still, there are so many deprived souls that have never participated in this growing craze. What makes this game so appealing? Making your friends lives miserable, hands down. Trust me, when you develop a reputation for winning, you’ll be amazed how much it agitates your friends. I know I sound like a jerk, but I can’t help the fact that I enjoy watching my friends agonize and don’t worry, you will too.
Anyways, let’s take a look at how it works. We’ll keep it simple for now. First of all, there are a number of different formats you can choose to participate in. The most popular is the Head-to-Head format. Each league usually consists of 10 to 12 teams. These teams are slated to play each other from week to week and your goal is to outscore your opponent. Your point total depends on the performance of the players you have selected. Scoring systems vary from league to league, but they all reward points according to your player’s statistics each week. If your player does well, you do well. Your performance each week is recorded and in most cases 4-6 teams with the best final record will move on to the playoffs.
One of the most popular things about fantasy football is the draft. This is where you select your players. So if you miss the playoffs, it’s entirely your fault. After all, you did select your team. Again, that's why it's so popular amongst friends. The winner has bragging rights for the entire off-season. Can’t beat that! The draft will allow you to fill your roster with various positions according to your league rules. The order of the draft is usually selected randomly. Each team will have a certain amount of starter’s as well as bench spots. There is a lot of strategy that goes into a fantasy football draft. If you are first time player its necessary that you have someone to guide you through it. Here at Fantasy Football InDepth, we are committed to helping you demolish your competition. Our Draft Kit is essential for success. Once you’ve selected your team, the fantasy football season begins.
Each week you will set up your starting line-up. Every factor must be taken into consideration if you want to optimize your chance of success. Our ISSI (InDepth Start + Sit Index) does all the work for you. Another factor that plays a large role in your success is the waiver wire. The waiver wire allows you to add and drop players throughout the season. This in reality can make or break your season. As a Fantasy Football InDepth subscriber, you will have the inside connections to help you control the waiver wire.
As you can see, a lot of hard work goes into a successful season. If you want to dominate you league, it’s necessary that you think, move and act like an expert. With Fantasy Football InDepth at your side, you are an expert! That’s right, your fellow fantasy addicts will be referring to you as the champ, the king, the big cheese…you get the point. Bring on the championship!
